Born out of circumstance, RE.COVER was an initiative to provide sustainable face masks at the beginning of the pandemic while touching the lives of those in need through a portion of sales going to national charities.
I developed a distinct form-fitting mask shape using a structured 3-ply construction and back-of-head fastening method. Released as limited editions and 1-of-1s, each iteration was crafted from new and up-cycled materials using patchwork, colour-blocking and other decorative processes.
I later made an updated version with side slits for additional ventilation or optional filter insertion. That version was held on the face with adjustable earloops.
